Youth Recreational Football

Recreational

bright stars developmental program or RECREATIONal football

Bright Stars Developmental Program, also known as Recreational Program, is designed to give kids of all abilities a place where they get a chance to play soccer in an organized manner. This is the first stage of football, and we expect players to learn the game. Teams in the program are age-based with groups designated by individual birth year. The program currently accepts players from age 7 years old and run through all age groups up to 11 years old. Upon registration and team assignment, players will be contacted by individual coaches shortly before the start of the season.

Practices are generally held once or twice a week on a schedule determined by each individual coach. Five games are scheduled during the season against teams from other clubs with opportunities to play in tournaments.

Recreational Soccer is community based. Coaches and referees are volunteers and parent volunteers who receive guidance and materials from our Technical Director and club Directors. We run programs in Mankessim the Central Region and Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. To find out about a program you can talk to one of our coaches or Directors.

U 7 - 11 GRASS ROOTS SOCCER

The primary objective of our recreational program for children 7- 11 years old is to provide children an equal opportunity to learn the game of soccer. We work really hard in providing a fun and stimulating environment in an effort in making the learning of the game as enjoyable as possible, maintaining a healthy approach to ease children into competitive soccer. Through the Grass Roots development sessions, players will learn the fundamentals of soccer, build confidence, and ultimately learn the dynamics and value of a team sport. The program will always be open to all those that are not part of the academy during the school holidays.

Youth Program

EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CHANCE TO PLAY

Bright Stars is committed to providing opportunities, challenges, and developmental advantages of competitive-level athletic training to every child regardless of their financial status. We are here to make sure every child can play if they want to. We put kids and what they want to become first, not money. If any child can qualify for a spot on one of our competitive team rosters, we will work with their family to make it possible for him or her to play. We encourage all players who believe they have what it takes to come and play for one of our teams. We take great pride in never turning away a deserving child due to lack of funds. We will work with every family to make sure every child has a chance to play the game they love.

THE SPIRIT OF UNITY

Youth sports, even at the highest competitive level, should be fun. We believe players learn and develop best in a supportive, positive, and constructive atmosphere. We further believe that a united group of parents, players, and coaches helps ensure the success of everything we do at the club. By working together to achieve a common goal, we believe we can provide our players with a rich and rewarding athletic and educational experience.
